In June, 1996 I ovulated earlier than I ever have on record. My cycle was 25 days long. What clued me in, was on Day 9 (Day 1 being the first day of menstruation) globs of stretchy mucus appeared on the toilet paper. Usually my stretchy mucus is not so plentiful. The following day I used my speculum to see what was going on. The os, the passage through the cervix into the uterus, was open and smiling. My conclusion was I was definatly fertile. On Day 6, the day after my period was finished, I had unprotected sex. Three days later fertile mucus showed up, Day 6 was suppose to be a "safe" day.
On Day 10, I started taking Vitamin C (ascorbic acid), about 6000 mg for the next three days. I had originally intended to take it for five days straight.
On Day 17, I started noticing breast tenderness. On Day 18, I started the Vitamin C again. I noticed my breast seemed lumpy, and slightly larger. Over the next 7 days I took between 4000 and 10,000 mg of Vit. C. On Days 20, 21 and 22, I took a tsp. of Queen Anne's Lace. On Day 22, I drank a cup of parsley tea. And took a very hot bath. Parsley tea has worked really well for me in the past, aiding me in my efforts to start late periods, (not necessarily due to pregnancy).
On Day 25, my period started early in the morning. What a relief. It started a day later than I had predicted it was due. I was thrilled my period arrived on schedule. I don't know if the egg was fertilized, but that possibility exists, and I was very pleased to be blessed with my monthly flow.
